Hon’ble Mr. Justice C.T. Ravikumar, Judge Supreme Court of India encouraged the young legal fraternity at the National Moot Court Competition 2024 held at Delhi Metropolitan Education, Noida, affiliated with GGSIPU on 6th and 7th April. The event was organised by DME Law School in collaboration with Title Sponsor- Unacademy, Exclusive Knowledge partners- SCC Online, Exclusive media partner – SCC Times, Partners- Triumvir Law, Law Chakra, TILA, International Arbitration & Mediation Centre, Singhania & Partners, P&P Advisories, Essential Drops and Triple J. The event had representations from Delhi International Arbitration Centre annexed under Delhi High Court.
Addressing the gathering at the inaugural ceremony of the event, Hon’ble Mr. Justice C.T. Ravikumar said “it is essential for each person pursuing legal profession to focus on the subject matter of every case before representing it before the bench, as for you it might be just one of the many cases that you deal with, but for your client, it is their whole life”.
The guest was felicitated by Hon’ble Mr. Justice Bhanwar Singh, Former Judge, Allahabad High Court and Director General, DME, Mr. Vipin Sahni and Mr. Aman Sahni, Chairman, and Vice-Chairman, DME, Noida. Encouraging the budding lawyers, Hon’ble Mr. Justice Bhanwar Singh, added that the young law students must embrace the challenge and opportunity to enhance their legal thinking, and should always engage deeply with the complexities of the cases presented, explore innovative arguments and strive for excellence in their advocacy.
With 140 participants and 45 teams from different parts of India, the competition served as a platform for legal scholars to showcase their expertise and engage in meaningful discourse. The event also marked the presence of other notable figures such as Hon’ble Justice Najmi Waziri, Delhi High Court, Senior Advocate Dr. Adish Aggarwal, President of the Supreme Court Bar Association and Advocate Mr. Navin Kumar Jaggi, CEO Jaggi Jaggie and Jaggi/ Triple J.
Motivating the students further, Hon’ble Mr. Justice Bhanwar Singh, Former Judge, Allahabad High Court and Director General DME, reiterated the importance of perseverance and dedication in the pursuit of legal excellence. The convenors of the DME Moot Court Competition thanked the participants, volunteers and faculty members who made the event successful.
