DME Media School, Delhi Metropolitan Education, Noida affiliated to Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, New Delhi hosts Vritika every year and it is a part of the school’s annual calendar. It started as a film festival in 2016 and converted to a media festival in 2018.
In 2020, Dr Ambrish Saxena, Professor and Dean, DME Media School conceptualized Vritika as a convention of media students with the idea of bringing them on one platform where they could showcase their talent and also deliberate, discuss, and brainstorm contemporary issues.
Thus, Vritika was re-invented as a forum for networking, learning, and contributing while emphasising on the role of media with a sense of social responsibility. For the last two years, Vritika was being organised in hybrid mode in the wake of COVID- 10 pandemic. This year. It is back in the physical space.
