PM Modi congratulates on the victory of the Indian women hockey team

The Grand Kumbh of the Games continues in Tokyo. Indian players are doing well in Tokyo Olympics. Indian women’s hockey team has entered the semi-finals of the Olympics. The Indian team defeated the Australian women’s hockey team to enter the semi-finals.

In the women’s hockey competition, the Indian team defeated the Australian team by 1-0. The Indian women’s hockey team managed to reach the semi-finals for the first time in the history of the Olympic Games. Prime Minister Narendra Modi congratulated the women’s team on this performance.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi tweeted and wrote, ‘PV Sindhu has not only won a deserving medal, but we have also seen the historic efforts of the men’s and women’s hockey teams in the Olympics. I hope 130 crore Indians will continue to work hard to take India to newer heights as it celebrates the Amrit Mahotsav.

Let us tell you that on the 75th anniversary of the country’s independence, 75 weeks before the Independence Amrit Mahotsav is going to start. This festival will be celebrated all over the country.

Union Sports Minister Anurag Thakur said, “Congratulations to both the teams for their excellent performance in hockey. PV Sindhu won the bronze medal and before that Mirabai Chanu won the medal and Lovlina performed brilliantly. I am happy that the daughters of India have won two medals so far.

Australia’s High Commissioner to India Barry O’Farrell also praised the stellar performance of the Indian women’s hockey team.
