International and world-famous director Kumar Raj has won yet another award for his internationally acclaimed film ‘Tara’. The film has received a lot of appreciation both in the domestic as well as the international front. The film stars actors Rekha Rana, Rohan Shroff, and Ashish Saleem.
The word Shantiniketan means “Abode of Peace”. It is built on the vision of Nobel Laureate Rabindranath Tagore, who wanted to create a space where people can interchange their ideas about art, culture, and life in general. Bolpur’s air still breathes his energy, his passion, and his free-thinking.
‘Tara’ was recently screened at Bolpur during the ongoing Tagore International Film Festival. The festival supports and nurtures emerging independent filmmakers and their stories not just from India but from all around the world.
I’m really blessed and honored that my movie received a lot of recognition, my main aim through this movie is to spread a powerful message and I feel really blessed when people all over the world recognize my hard work and pain”, explained director Kumar Raj.
Kumar Raj said, Tara, has to date received about 200 international and national awards & over 298 official selections. The film is currently available on MX player for the audience to watch in India along with Amazon Prime in the USA, UK & Canada.
Kumar Raj’s Tara is also nominated for the prestigious “Sun Of the East Awards” in Dec 2020.
The next feature film of Kumar Raj is ‘Yahaan Ameena Bikte Hai ‘ starring Rekha Rana & Anant Mahadevan which will be released this year.
