Raipur: Former Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Ajit Jogi passed away on Friday. He breathed his last at a hospital in Raipur. He was 74 years old. Ajit Jogi was hospitalized after a cardiac arrest. He was undergoing treatment for the last 21 days.

According to the information, Ajit Jogi was undergoing treatment at Narayana Hospital in Raipur for the last 21 days. Jogi was in a coma. Jogi was hospitalized on 9 May following a cardiac arrest.

Amit Jogi reported the death of Ajit Jogi through his Twitter account. Ajit Jogi will be cremated at his birthplace in Gorella on Saturday.

Amit Jogi wrote on his Twitter account, “20-year-old youth of Chhattisgarh state has lost his father’s shadow today. Not only me but Chhattisgarh has lost his father, not a leader. Honorable Ajit Jogi ji of 2.5 crore people Leaving the family, he went to God. The villager’s support, Chhattisgarh’s fortress, went far away from us. ”

Former Chief Minister Dr. Raman Singh has expressed grief over the death of Ajit Jogi. He said that the death of Ajit Jogi has deeply hurt the heart. His death is an irreparable loss to the state. May God grant peace to the departed soul and patience to loved ones.

New party formed after separating from Congress

Ajit Jogi remained associated with Congress for a long time. Ajit Jogi became the first Chief Minister of the state after the formation of Chhattisgarh state. Later, he broke away from the Congress and joined the Chhattisgarh Janata Congress Party. The party was formed by Ajit Jogi himself. Before joining politics, Jogi was an IAS officer. Jogi was also a member of the state assembly, Rajya Sabha, Lok Sabha.
