“#TripleTalaqBill ought to be considered unique to be one piece of numerous assaults on Muslim character and citizenship since 2014. Horde brutality, police outrages and mass imprisonment won’t hinder us.

With a firm confidence in the Constitution, we’ve withstood abuse, shameful acts and forswearing of rights,” Owaisi stated, as the Rajya Sabha cleared the Bill with a 99-84 vote.

The Muslim Women (Protection of Rights on Marriage) Bill, 2019 has just been passed by the Lok Sabha. It now just needs President Ram Nath Kovind’s consent to turn into a law.

Expressing that laws don’t get changes the general public, Owaisi alluded to other social shades of malice and said on the off chance that laws had to prevail in such undertakings, at that point sex-particular premature births, youngster misuse, spouse deserting and settlement would’ve been history.

Dismissing the administration’s contention that prohibiting triple talaq would engage Muslim ladies, Owaisi said it would compel the ladies to remain in a marriage that was not adequate to the two gatherings.

Owaisi said the predominant laws were competent enough to shield Muslim ladies from misuse and provocation.

Laws, for example, the Domestic Violence Act accommodate numerous solutions for ladies who may’ve confronted verbal, passionate or physical maltreatment in a residential relationship,” the parliamentarian noted.

Hitting out at the Narendra Modi government, Owaisi said “it is a trying time for those of us who trust in the principle of law and the certifications of non-discretion, an opportunity of religion and ideal to particular culture cherished in the Constitution”.
