Action has been initiated against former Union Minister of State Swami Chinmayananda in the case of exploitation of the girl child. On Friday, the SIT team reached the Swamy’s ashram directly with the victim. The SIT questioned Chinmayananda for 7 hours on the allegation of the student.
The SIT also asked Chinmayananda about the video that went viral on social media. In this case, Chinmayananda accused him of conspiring against him. The SIT asked Swami Chinmayananda a number of questions regarding the girl’s allegations and extortion.
Earlier, the SIT has also questioned Chinmayanand’s lawyer, the college principal, and other staff. The SIT interrogated Chinmayananda on the basis of the evidence found in the hostel room of the college. Swamy was also questioned in case of missing evidence from the room.
During interrogation, Chinmayananda said that this conspiracy was hatched to tarnish the image of his main ashram. He has alleged a deep conspiracy in the case.
Let me tell you that Swami Chinmayananda is accused of raping a teenager. The video related to this also went viral on social media. Chinmayanand’s lawyer Om Singh says that the video is fake and was created by editing it.
The SIT also questioned Om Singh for about five hours. Chinmayanand’s lawyer had lodged a case in the Kotwali police station of the city seeking extortion money of Rs five crore from an unknown mobile number.
